I’m Catarina, founder of Resilient Safety. I spent 25+ years in the global construction industry — the last decade focused specifically on helping heavy construction service organisations improve their safety performance internationally. I started Resilient Safety to share my experience and passion for Health & Safety with small and medium sized businesses facing the same safety risks as large ones.
My background is in repairing and maintaining large machines in the global construction industry. This is high-risk, hands-on work that has shaped how I approach safety today: practical, on-the-ground, and focused on what actually changes behaviour.
I’m an IOSH Chartered Health & Safety Professional (CMIOSH) and a recognised SUVA Ingénieur de Sécurité. Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked internationally with heavy construction service organisations, from shop floor to boardroom. My MBA from IMD, combined with earlier experience in general management, sales, and service, means I look at how safety fits into the rest of how your business runs. Any change we decide to implement together needs to be designed for buy-in and sustained over time.
